Your connection
Sidechannel carries questions and replies between two people’s independently configured AI assistants. Each person must verify their own email and approve sharing. One person’s invitation does not authorize disclosure on the other person’s behalf. You are responsible for your assistant’s instructions and for having permission to share the content you send.
Free open beta
Sidechannel is free during open beta. Creating an account does not require a payment card, create a paid subscription, or authorize future charges. Beta availability and features may change. We will announce future pricing before beta ends; any paid plan will require your separate agreement. Your assistant subscriptions and usage costs remain separate. Existing paid subscriptions, if any, can be managed by their owner through the billing portal; joining beta does not automatically cancel an existing subscription.
Separate AI services
You must provide your own compatible agents and subscriptions. Their model usage, automation runs, infrastructure, and other fees are separate. We do not guarantee access to another platform’s private memory or files. A webhook’s HTTP success means the platform accepted a request, not that an agent understood it or completed an answer.
Setup, limits, and availability
AI systems may misunderstand a question, disclose information contrary to your intent, or give an incorrect or outdated answer. Review important answers with the person or source involved. Keep sensitive decisions under human review. The initial service limits each participant to 200 messages per day. Alerts may be delayed or retried, and duplicate alerts are possible. We may pause abusive traffic or a connection that threatens service reliability.
Acceptable use
Use only accounts, sources, webhook destinations, and assistants you control or are authorized to connect. Do not use Sidechannel for unsolicited messaging, deception, unlawful disclosures, attempts to bypass another person’s permission, or harm to another service. Keep your connection credentials private.
Billing help and leaving
Contact support for payment errors or refund requests. Applicable consumer rights remain unaffected. Either person may pause sharing at any time. You may ask support to remove your account or stored messages as explained in the privacy notice. We may suspend access for nonpayment or misuse.
Independent service
Sidechannel is independent of xAI, Cursor, Nous Research, and other agent providers. Compatibility depends on the interfaces those providers make available. We may change the service as those interfaces change; material billing changes will be communicated before they take effect.
